Hardware for Photogem® PDT Therapy

The most widespread sources of light for PDT are argon pumped dye laser or copper vapour pumped dye laser (A = 630nm). Less cumbersome and more cheap lasers on gold vapour, which do not need water cooling, have being used during the last decade for PDT with Photofrin and its analogs.

The laser therapy equipment "Innova-200", designed by the american firm "Coher­ent", could serve as an example of an argon pumped dye laser.
